When you set out on a blogging journey you (or maybe it was just me) don’t think much past the next post, the next idea you want to share with someone…anyone who just happens to accidentally stumble upon your little blog. Then slowly at first you start to gain a follower and then you make a new online friend or two.
Before you know it your blog is starting to take on a life of it’s own and one day you reach a milestone in your blogging journey, the first comment, the first dollar the first 100th post! With today’s post I’m marking a milestone in my own journey and I am so happy to have you all here reading my words, and sharing your ideas with me in the comments of the posts I have written over the past nine months. It really does mean a lot to me.
Over the past several months I’ve enjoyed sharing with you how my family makes ends meet. Living on a single income in a two income world. Living frugally has helped our family pay down our debt by more than $3,236.38 since last July 2014 leaving us $1,763.62 to reach our goal of $5,000 by this coming July 2015. It also allowed us to pay off over $14,000.00 in three years prior to starting this blog, I will share that story with you in the next couple of weeks. While our current progress has been slow and steady, it is progress and we are still on track to pay off our debt in the next five years.
During the past couple of weeks you may have notice some big changes around here. First starting with the new theme. Followed by a new header, designed by yours truly. There are more great things coming down the road here at Two Kids And A Budget. So stay tuned to those big announcements by signing up for the Two Kids and A Budget newsletter.
Over the past nine months I’ve been blessed with many new frugal friends and bloggy buddies. While I can’t name you all, I hope you each know how much you are appreciated. Two Kids And A Budget wouldn’t be the place it is today without all of you. So, a big heartfelt Thank You to all of you who have been my friends and support over the past few months!
