I can’t believe that one year ago tomorrow I wrote my very first blog post here on Two Kids And A Budget. Over the past twelve months my little blog has gone under quite the transformation. What started out strictly as a get out of debt blog (a goal we are still working) has become more of a lifestyle blog with the focus of living the good life on a budget.
A year ago we had set the goal of paying down our debt by $5,750.00. It was a lofty goal at the time, and I knew it. As of today we have paid down our debt by $3, 539.30, a little more than half way there. This means that we are short by a whopping $2,210.70. Even though we fell way short of the goal, given the health challenges our family faced this year I still think we did great. Especially when considering that we kept ourselves from adding more debt onto the pile to a tune of $1,500 in medical bills. And all on a single income.
We are not giving up on our goal and again hope to pay off $5,750.00 this year. With any luck we will pay down our debt more than our current goal so that we can catch up and stay on track for our 2019 debt freedom deadline.
Now onto something a bit more fun! Lets take a look at the stats! This as any blogger can tell you is the not-so-secret guilty pleasure of a blogger.
