As a mom with two very active young boys finding high quality cloths is a must! Nothing will bust your budget faster than having to constantly replace clothing. Finding a brand that has conservative, but cute designs is also high on my priority list. I was so happy the day I discovered the Crazy 8 store at my local mall last year. Not only did they meet my needs, but I knew I could trust the quality as it is part of the Gymboree family of brands which is a company I already loved.
Recently I was contacted by a member of the Crazy 8 team to do a review of their new winter line for the holidays. They offered me a $50.00 gift certificate to use in the store or online and as an added bonus a $50.00 gift card for one lucky Two Kids And A Budget reader! Don’t worry, all of the glowing reviews in this post are my own. I truly love the clothing this store offers, and so do my sons!
I went into our local store looking for some new winter shirts for each of my boys. Even though AJ inherits the cloths KC outgrows I still like to buy one or two brand new things for him each season. I found several great shirts for each of the boys.
My first stop was the hoodie long sleeve shirts for KC. He is outgrowing the couple that he has, and they are his favorite shirts. I found a great red, blue and gray long sleeve shirt, and when I showed it to KC his face lit up. He had to try it on immediately and it was a while before I could convince him to try on another shirt.
KC’s favorite new shirt wound up being the blue, gray and red microfleece in the photo above. He says it feels like he is being snuggled whenever he wears the shirt. I have had to wash it several times as it seems to be the only thing he wants to wear lately. I’ve been very happy that it has held its shape, color, and still looks great!
On a side note, last year I purchased several pairs of jeans for KC and have been very happy with them. KC has always been on the tall side for his age and I have had problems in the past finding pants that were the right size in length and not too large in the waist. The Crazy 8 blue jeans have the adjustable waist bands with strong elastic, as well as a heavy denim material for the pants. They have held up great and will most likely make it through both of my sons. Now that, in my book is quality.
I love the little woolly mammoth thermal AJ got (shown above) as well as the red and black checkered microfleece. I also picked him up a navy blue thermal that reads, ” my mommy wolly loves me”. I just wish I had room in this post to show you everything I bought. To be honest I kind of felt like a kid in a candy store with all of the great things they had to offer, it was so hard to choose!
Being a mom on a budget, I always have to checkout the clearance section of the store. I’m often searching for the next size up that way I am never paying full price my my kid’s clothes. I was not disappointed. They still had a great selection of things I could put away for next year.
Nothing I purchased that day was over $25.00. In fact, the most expensive thing I picked out was $19.98. Crazy 8 was running a store wide sale as well as an additional 30% off clearance. I also had a coupon to use on my purchase which brought the overall price of the items down even more!
With Christmas just a few weeks away, now is a great time to look for great winter weather and festive items for the kids. They even have a variety of stocking stuffers. Consider picking up one of their many selections of socks, hats, mittens, gloves and scarves. There are even hair accessories and jewelry for the little ladies. Crazy 8 is a gr8 place to find holiday gifts that kids love—from stocking stuffers to gifts under $25!
