Spring time in our home comes with a healthy dose of allergies. It starts with the dark circles under the eyes. Then the itchy, runny, congested nose is closely followed by sneezing and coughing. When the pollen is heavy in the air it can be quite miserable. Unfortunately, allergy season runs from early spring until the last leaf has fallen in the fall. We have tried several different brands over the years both prescription and over the counter. Generic and name brand but it wasn’t until we started using the Children’s Claritin allergy medication that we began to get any kind of relief.
Did you know that four out of ten school aged children are affected by indoor and seasonal outdoor allergies? Thankfully it doesn’t have to be that way for my boys or the millions of other children across the US dealing with missed school days and unpleasant pollen filled spring afternoons.
As with any medication you never know how your children will take it until you try it. With my boys if they don’t like the taste then good luck getting the rest of it down them. My husband and I have had to tag team them in the past to get a foul-tasting medication down. Thankfully Claritin has made their allergy medications palatable and we don’t have to fight with our kids to get them to take it. The Non-drowsy Children’s Claritin® Chewables comes in two different flavors, bubblegum (which we were able to sample) and grape. Just one tablet provided all-day relief from their allergy symptoms.
We were also given Children’s Claritin non-drowsy liquid formula which is also a 24-hour over the counter medication to try this allergy season and neither one of my boys complained about taking it either. Although KC who is 5 1/2 preferred the chewables, because they are “big kid medicine”.
According to the information I received with our sample packs:
Only Children’s Claritin® provides 24-hour, non-drowsy relief for your child’s seasonal and indoor allergy symptoms.1 What’s more, it’s the #1 Pediatrician Recommended Non-Drowsy Oral Allergy Brand!
1Among 24-hour oral products from OTC children’s brands
After what my own kids have experienced taking this OTC medication I can honestly say it did provide them with the relief they needed all day long. My family will continue to use this product now and in the future.
Have you ever tried any of the Children’s Claritin allergy medications with your own kids? What did you think of the product?
