Dine In, Not Out – A fancy restaurant can easily cost you big bucks. Instead of going out, cook a nice dinner together at home. Don’t forget the candle light to make it extra special.
Take A Scenic Drive – Take a sunset drive in the country and enjoy each others company without the distraction of a crowded restaurant or the “stuff” that needs done around the house. Up the romance by finding a beautiful spot to share a thermos of hot coco.
Walk On The Beach – Depending on where you live in the US the weather can be beautiful this time of year. A romantic sunset walk on the beach can be just what the heart needs.

Who says you have to go to an expensive show when your town may be offering something you’ll enjoy just as much.
Go Camping – Depending on your adventurous spirit and the weather where you are, enjoying the great outdoors together can be a great alternative to the expensive getaway. There are many beautiful national parks around our great country to explore. So pack up your tent and a few supplies and head out for a weekend camping trip.
Go To A Matinee – Quite often a matinee showing at your local movie theater is at least a couple dollars less than the afternoon or evening shows. My husband I love going to matinee movies not only because we save money, but because the theater is typically less crowded and sometimes we are even the only ones there! Who wouldn’t love a “private viewing” of the latest movie?
Romantic Indoor Picnic – Spread a blanket on the floor, light some candles and you have the perfect setting for a romantic indoor picnic. The food can be as simple or extravagant as you wish, but remember keeping it on budget is the goal here. This date night idea really brings the romance home.
Go To The Museum Or Art Gallery – You can easily spend an afternoon at the museum or art gallery enjoying all it has to offer. Most of the time admittance fees are donation based or at the very least they often have reasonable fees. And you can feel good knowing your donations are going to help support a worthy cause.
Recreate Your First Date – Recreating your first date is a wonderful way to remind you both where it all began. Revisit those romantic spots and reconnect as a couple, and remember why you love one another.
